Are the Christians of nowadays true Christians??

It is obvious that there are lots of people outside there parading under the umbrella of Christianity. The question is "Are all Christian true Christians?"

Christianity goes beyond mere religion. It is to be Christ-like, to seek the truth, follow the truth, seek and follow peace with all men. This truth is JESUS CHRIST.

A christian is the one believes in Jesus Christ, follows Him, he who has totally surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and obeys all His teachings.

Now, going to the topic of the day, "Are the so-call Christians real Christians"?
I say NO to that. Why?

Some people join a religious group just to belong to one, so they won't be accused of not belonging to any religious group.

Some who are Christians so to say were born into a christian home, to them this makes them a christian automatically not knowing that their parent being Christians doesn't make them Christians. They don't have a personal encounter with Christ, nether do they really know whom Christ is. These set of people are just christian by name not really Christians.
For them to be true/real Christians, they must recognize who Christ is and they must have a personal encounter with Him.

More so, some who call themselves Christians are not really Christians because their lifestyle, behaviours, character, attitudes does not portray Christ.

The Apostles were first called Christians in Acts. 11:26 when the people discovered that their way of life is just like that of Christ, thus making them little Christ(christian).

Therefore, for anyone to be a true Christian, he must have :

* Known who Christ is

*Have a personal encounter with Christ

* Believe in the death, resurrection, ascension and the second coming of Christ

* Confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and saviour and finally,

He must make sure his lifestyle portrays Christ.

Anyone who have met all those requirement could be referred to as a real or true Christian.
