Why the Christians should submit to the government. 

There are several reasons why Christians should submit to the government. Few of them would be discussed

GOD IS THE ORIGIN OF POWER

God is the origin of power and the Supreme governor of the universe.
He delegates authority to whomsoever He wills. Though in many cases, the person in power may not be of God, yet civil authority is of God.

God ordained societal units, elements for the well-being of man. No authority except from God, no civil authority or government exist apart from God having instituted it.

God placed it for the well-being of man. Marriage and the Church are also authorities instituted by God, but they all must submit to the government authority as ordained by the Supreme ruler of the universe (GOD).

Christians should also submit to the government in order to embrace peace.
Christianity goes beyond mere religion, but a peace seeking religion, Christianity also seeks and follows the truth.

When Apostle Paul was speaking in chapter 13 of Romans, he was not speaking from his own doctrine or perspective, but declaring the mind of God on the utmost importance of the subject of submitting to the government to the peace of the world.

Therefore as  Christians, we must submit to the government as a constituted authority instituted by God.

"To submit to the government is not submitting to the person(s) in authority, but to that place of authority (power)".
