THE LEVELS OF JUDGEMENT

There are three levels of judgement at which believers sin can be dealt with.

  1.  SELF JUDGEMENT "For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged" (ICor.11:31). When a believer does wrong, the Holy Spirit is right there to reprove and make him strongly aware that he needs to make the matter right.
  2.  JUDGEMENT BY BELIEVERS. If you fail to judge yourself, the Lord will send a believer to you, as the Lord sent the Prophet Nathan to David. David responded and repented. He was severely chastened for His sins and that ended the matter.
  3.  JUDGEMENT BY AN UNBELIEVER OR SATAN. If you fail to respond to God's dealings at the first or second level, the most severe judgement follows. That is when God allows Satan to punish you with series of afflictions.
Therefore as a believer, whenever the Holy Spirit reproves you, make restitution, and when God sends another believer to you, listen and make amendments before it would be too late. By doing this, you will avoid the third level of judgement which is more severe than others.
